Now called the Sunny, Nissan ended the car's production in Japan in 2004, but it continues to be sold in US, Sri Lanka, and African markets. Nissan has big aspirations for the new sedan in India too and wants to sell at least 12,000 of the new cars by end of the fiscal year.
Currently, the Nissan Sunny will come only in the petrol version powered by a 1.5 liter equipped with Variable Timing Control makes 99 PS of power at 6000 rpm with a 134 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. It also has 16.95 km per litre of fuel economy, and large knee room in the backseats for passengers. Don't forget the special large centre armrest, and cup holders in the rear seat area.
Nissan has gone all out in terms of safety and put Anti-locking Braking System with Electronic Brake Distribution across all models. The Nissan Sunny would be available in three variants namely XE priced at Rs.5.78 Lakhs, XL priced at Rs.6.88 Lakhs and the fully loaded XV priced at Rs.7.68 Lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi.
