Royal Enfield Classic Desert Storm

The Classic Desert Storm comes to you with a “sand” paint scheme reminiscent of the war era, a time when Royal Enfield motorcycles proved their capabilities and battle worthiness by impeccable service to soldiers in harsh conditions of the desert. Donning a younger today resplendent with styling cues one would expect only from a genuine Royal Enfield: single cylinder air-cooled pushrod engine, 1950s style nacelle and toolboxes, traditional paint scheme and buffed engine components, this motorcycle is all set to bring you the pleasures of modern motorcycling while reflecting the aura of eternal classic styling.

Royal Enfield has priced the Desert Storm at Rs 1.58 lakh (on-road Mumbai) which is Rs 3,000 more than the Classic 500. The Classic Chrome is Rs 10,000 more than the Classic 500 with a price tag of Rs 1.68 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

The Bullet 500 was launched in June 1993 and went on to become the most coveted model of the brand. In 1998, Royal Enfield developed and introduced a new platform of products with a lean burn engine. This engine not only meets the stringent emission norms, but also offers more power and fuel economy. Bullet Machismo, a true classic motorcycle, was launched with this engine. To address the needs of all the urban customers, Royal Enfield launched the first Cruiser bike “Thunderbird”. It was an instant success. It bagged the BBC Wheels Award for the best Cruiser in India in 2002. More awards followed and the Bullet entered the Indian Automotive “Hall of Pride” award for defining the motorcycles in the Indian perspective.

In the last 5 years, Royal Enfield has made significant strides in the global market. From North America to Europe in the West and Japan to Australia in the East today Royal Enfield has a pride of place across the globe. In fact Royal Enfield was ranked among the top 10 selling brands in UK in the 125 – 500 cc category.
